				 | Mary, I'm so happy for you and Mei Ling!! Your mom's neighbor sounds like a wonderful person - I'm glad you're going to put together a basket for him, that's a great idea. PLEASE, make sure your parents repair all the holes in their fence if your babies are going to be staying with them. No more scares like this, ok?

| Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | he was her guardian angel...he even told me if she happen to have landed on the porch next the owners probably would have chased her off the porch...they are not dog friendly....and he even said he was going to post a found ad...but didn't want just anyone to come up because he know people these days would claim a yorkie in a second just to sale it.... i need to research more about rescue....is it always the case that they don't rescue out to people without a fence....i can tell that any dog that comes to live at his place would be spoiled! he was one of the sweetest guy i have came across in who knows how long! and for him to ask me to help him find his yorkie i know this is something he has wanted in a long long time and i sorta felt bad about taking Mei Ling but this is where she belongs....with me....

One lady kept saying they were turning her away for rescue and we kept scratching our head as she had a yorkie and was a good dog mom. Then one day she posted that it was because she left her front door open at all times, lived by a busy street, did not put her dog on a leash as her dog was traumatized prior to her rescuing him so would freak out if put on a leash and harness. He was in bad shape when she rescued him. Then it all made sense to us why she was getting turned down. Their main goal is safety and finding a home that the dog will be at for the rest of its life so they are very thorough before rescuing out a dog to someone. Remember the whole Ellen Degeneres thing when she rescued that dog then gave it to someone else and the rescue came and took it back. There are specific rules when you get a rescue. I know demi's says if anything happens to dh or I the rescue gets her back. | |

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I'm so happy for you and your baby girl! I hope you are giving her lots and lots of extra hugs right now. BTW- let the vet know that not all rescues require a fenced yard for dogs this size. The one my parents went through approved them without one because their babies are inside dogs. If one rescue won't do it, there are always others to ask. Last edited by Rhetts_mama; 05-20-2010 at 12:40 PM. |
