Why would you need to ask any of our permission?? I think the proper thing to do would be to ask Kimberly's family for permission, because i dont think any of us have much say in her material. Especially if it was copyrighted.

I'm new here and have no idea who her family and friends are. By posting I was hoping to find an avenue to ask the permission of her family. I've received some helpful information and I really appreciate it!

The death of a friend is a sensitive subject, and I wanted to make sure that nobody (family, as well as friends) would be outright against a new member, like myself, compiling the information.

I never knew Kimberly, and as such I have no idea what she would have wanted. I am, however, just trying to help in any way that I am able.

Well we all appreciate your help, i also do not know her, or her family and i do appreciate and would love if someone got her info back and posted it as long as it remains (as it was) free and open to all who would want/ need to refer to it.

a person you may want to touch base with is AlaskaDad - there are others but he is the one who posted the RIP thread. He may have more info than others - Kim kept her private live pretty bottled up the few years before her death. She'd been very active here but then stopped. The family not want her site up or, they may be honored, if you decide to incorporate her info - then permission is a must.

another suggestion is maybe someone could make their own site ....there are many good websites with similar informaiton - so someone can build one on their own just like it but not a duplicate.....There's some great breeder sites out there and you can reach out if you're wanting your own site - many have the same information on them but you could make it unique without bringing up a site where the person who owned it is no longer with us.

Your right i def. think that puppy pantheon should get the permission of the family first, or just make thier own site.. I plan on making my own site about yorkies, and my experiances and care tips very soon and it will be a compilation of things ive learned and read over the years along with advice ive gotten and so on..

I would love to see her website preserved! When I first got Rily, I spent a lot of time reading her info. I was so sorry to hear she had passed away.

Agreed. Her family would be the ones that needed to grant permission to 'rebuild' her site--not admin or anyone else here. It was her personal property and not something anyone here can grant you permission to reuse. I did know her and considered her a very good friend. I'm going to be perfectly honest. Before her death, she chose to remove herself from these online forums and it was her family's desire to keep information about her and her death OFF the internet. (Thus why it was unknown here for so long that she had passed.) So I really have my doubts that they, or she, would want someone 'reconstructing' HER personal site.
It was loaded with useful info that many people referenced. I would suggest using it to construct a new site without her name or program attached to it.

I agree Bama and a great deal of what was on her website was posted here as Kim was a great contributor to Yorkie Talk.

I appreciate everyones feedback and honesty about Kims wishes. I will look into integrating information I've compiled into an area on my site. I'll post once I've done this, so I can gather more feedback.
