| Finally!!! I've never had the patience to teach Brandi any tricks, believe me I've had tried. But then I tried Victoria Stillwells method for the sit command and it works! The funny part is it only took a few tries. I just thought Brandi was mentally challenged or stubborn but turns out I just wasn't using the right method that works for her. I am so proud of my little one, I can't wait to teach my old dog more new tricks. In case you are wondering her method for the sit command was just to hold the treat in front of her, when she finally sits down give her the treat. The next step was to say sit when she does sit down so would associate the word sit with getting the treat. Finally by just saying sit, she will sit down and then I give her the treat. The amazing thing is this only took all of about 30 minutes! Last edited by yavenay; 05-13-2010 at 11:47 AM. |
