OMG, OK, I want to say this...for those who "check their dogs in"...
In March while sitting on the plane in Houston (at the gate) waiting to get off, i looked out the window to the BIG AIRBUS parked next to us to only see a TINY hard sided crate, about the size of one a Yorkie would fit into, SITTING BY ONE OF THE TIRES
It was all by itself, noone rushing to get it or put it on board (not sure if they were taking off or landing) BUT whatever was inside that crate must of been terrified by the loud noise....I coudn't imagine someone with (whatever inside, cat/dag) without taking it onboard under the seat

Could have been a new pet shipped from somewhere that someone bought which is sad to me. I think people should just go fly and pick the new baby up! IMO if people are going to spend money buying a pet from a far distance, they should save money for the airplane trip ticket too.

I don't even trust the airlines to transport luggage from point a to point b, I am not surprised that they can not be trusted to transport a pet.

grrrrrr when our babies fly with us they are WITH us!!! they NEVER leave our possession. I can't imagine 'sending' a dog I own anywhere.
If I were to purchase a dog long distance I would go get the dog!!!! plane (yes thats a pun) and simple!
