| ohhhhh the pain i have been growing maddies hair out above her eyes and at the base of her ears. the groomer gave her eye brows and shaved the entire ear instead of just the top portion. its taking forever to grow, but i think we are making progress--i can finally get some of it into a ponytail (even though it sits alittle to the front). But i think were getting there. I figured another 4-6 MONTHS and we should be home free

| Yup! You'll get it grown out and the groomer will get it again. It takes awhile, doesn't it?

| I feel your pain, the same thing happened to my two in Nov. right before the holidays. I was lucky our "former" groomer didn't shave all the hair off the ears. She shaved the entire nose!! It has been 7 months and it is finally out of their eyes. It will be worth the wait when it finally grows out. The whole experience made me start doing my own grooming.

| We had a bad grooming experience last Friday. Needless to say I can't wait for Kona's hair to grow again. She now has hair on the top of her head that is only about 1/2 (or less) and to top it all off they cut off her 2 1/2 inch long eyelashes!

| That's great that Maddies hair is growing. Hang in there. Tila's hair is a great length finally, it sits how it's supposed to. I always put my hand on her face over her eye's/head and nose area when I take her into the groomer and tell her do not touch this area. lol. It's a pain when the hair starts poking them in the eyes too, topknot gel is good to keep it away. |

| i need to get some of that gel an give it a try--------no more groomer for maddie--im doing it all myself now the rest of the hair on her head is about 4inches long but her eye brows are about 1 1/2 now--you can tell by my avatar pic its growing out on her ears to--i just hate the stage its going thru. but we will win this battle ---eventually

| They trimmed Treasure's nose and gave her a visor today I'm not thrilled, but anything is better than me trying to do it myself! I'm a bit of a klutz and I don't trust myself with the scissors... especially with my very active 5 month old puppy! |

| Maddie is adorable. I take my girls to the groomer. She does a good job. But sometimes I have to 'fix' little things. But I don't think I could do a good groom. |

| Topknot gel helps during the annoying stage where all it wants to do is poke them in the eyes or cover them. That is the great thing about hair, it does grow back. You'll get there. I wish I had the courage to cut Tila's myself. I cut her brothers all the time, his is simple to do. Everyone asks me how come I don't do Tila's too, but I'm so scared I'm going to mess up real bad. | actually its pretty easy----i trim between the pads and hair around her feet when it gets to long and then shave the top 1/3 of her ears front and back. I then shave the hair around her privates and shes pretty much good to go. Theres not much to trim elsewhere since im letting her grow out. But then im VERY LUCKY--maddie loves being groomed and blow dried after a bath. she just sits there and doesnt move. im tellin ya--i was so lucky to find such a wonderful little girl.

Misty is right, if you keep a longer coat the grooming is not hard at all. I do exactly the same things to my two. First time was the hardest and it gets easier every time you do it The only trouble I have with my two, the get so relaxed when I am grooming or brushing them the want to lay down and sleep.

| I may have to just gather my courage and try grooming her myself sometime. I can't do any worse than the one groomer I took her to once. They gave her bald spots! rilysmom, I got my topknot gel from mimimomo. |
