| ![]() Hello, I am Yorkie Baby Mom and here's my story. 5 1/2 weeks ago I lost my little 13 1/2 year old female yorkie (Princess). She was a constant companion to my 11 1/2 year old male yorkie (Rudy). On the morning that I had to let her go, Rudy watched as I was so upset, take little Princess, wrapped in her favorite blanket out the door to the vet. He knew something was wrong because they always went to the vet together. When I returned home, I didn't have her, I had buried her in one of her favorite places. Now we move forward to little Rudy, he has become so very protective of me. It used to be when people with dogs approached us he was very excited to meet them. He's still good with dogs, it for some reason has to do with people. He (still) looks for Princess, every night we have to get up to look in every room (I think for her). He sometimes sits and looks so very lost, and he has always been one of the "barker" ones, but his barking has become incessantly. It's like he's mad. I know he misses little Princess, they were together for over 6 years (she was a rescue baby). I am hoping that if I get another one that he will calm back down - but I'm not sure? What do you all think? By the way, Rudy is a very docile, easy going, loves to play fetch, and loves for you to chase and play with him little man. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() I am so sorry for your loss. It so sad Rudy is missing her so. He may need more time to grieve. Maybe you could find another rescue that is a little older to help both of your hearts.

| ![]() I'm so sorry for your loss! I think another companion for Rudy might be good, however I agree with Patti that you may want to try one that is a little older because Rudy won't want to deal with all the playfulness and shananigans of a puppy. Good luck and keep us updated! xxxx

| ![]() I'm so sorry you lost Princess. That's heartbreaking. Rudy, I suppose, is grieving or he just doesn't understand what has happened to her. I would recommend getting another. I think it would be good for both of your hearts.
