				   | My 1 1/2 yr old yorkie seems to miss hitting her pad when she pees. Many times it is about a inch off the pad. Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

				   | Try a litter pan with the pad inside or a pad holder with a slightly raised edge. Sometimes they try, but don't know their booty is off the edge. With the pan or holder, they can feel easier if they are on target or not.

				   | Definitely try using a pad holder. That way she has to step in to use the pad. It worked great for Lola.

				   | My doggies do the same thing. I just leave them as the get the pad most of the time. Try to catch them next time and put them on the pad immediately. Wet the peepad with their pee and let them smell it and clean the floor. Next time they will smell the are and pee there.

				   | I had kinda the same problem with Addy. She would pee right on the edge and some of the pee would get on the floor. I had a plastic runner under the pee pad to catch the run off. So, this weekend I bought the pee pad holders from Petsmart. She does pee on it, but she has not pooed on it. She goes right beside it. I hope she will start pooing on it soon! |

				   | I have the peepad holder from petsmart that has slightly raised edges... Armani used to put his front legs on and pee totally off... now with the holder he knows to get all the way on and there is no issue

| Donating YT 500 Club Member | I also have the pee pad holder from Petsmart. I've had it for approx. 2 months and Bridget wouldn't use it. She would walk on it but that's it. I think I've finally figured out the reason. Her pads are on the carpet, and it makes a different sound (and I'm sure feel) when she is on the holder than the carpet. I took some old towels and folded them up to put under the pads before I click down the frame.....Voila!!!! Works like a charm...or maybe she just figured it out!! But still poops on a pad in her kennel. But that's fine with me as long as she hits a pad someplace!!!

				   | Mine always miss too. I got the washable pads from Ryan & just lay down a couple in a wide area & disposable paper ones on the bottom, just in case. They still miss sometimes. Lol

				   | Lizzie is 5 months old, and she does pee on the pee pad, but I have the same problem - she quite often is on the edge, and it leaks onto the floor. Does anyone know if a pet store up here in Canada sells those trays for the pads?

				   | Thanks for all the ideas. I did try to use a boot mat for her pads when she was smaller, it was not quite even on the bottom so it moved and mad a noise when she stepped on it. I will try it again with a towel under it. New baby coming tomorrow so now it is double trouble.
