| Dog walk-a-thon and pet fair We took Roxie to an SPCA fundraising dog walk-a-thon and pet fair today, and we had a great time! There were SO many different types of dogs...I was amazed at some of the dogs I saw! One of the best was an adorable little "Morkie"...I've never seen a pooch that was just so sweet and cute before! We received many compliments and comments on Roxie...she was actually the smallest of all the Yorkies we met today (I'm not used to that, since she is the biggest Yorkie in our neighborhood!). The 2 mile walk was a lot for Roxie in the heat, and we actually wound up carrying her part of the way, but it was still a great experience. Just wanted to share!

| Wow, that sounds like lots of fun! I wish our area had things like this. The only thing I've seen here so far is a silent auction that costs $65 per ticket just to get in...and it's not a bring your dog affair but more like black tie. I'd definitely participate in something a little more low key though! -C

| We had a similar event here in Pretoria. Even though Diji was too young to do the walk, we went to check it out. What a wonderful experience it was for Diji. It was so cute to see him greeting the other dogs and trying to play with other puppies some of them triple his size. hehe. I actually have a video of it. How to I post a video? |
