More than we care...at least this time we caught them early...

It has been said a 100 times here..you cannot just take people at face value when it comes to breeding of these dogs. People will do just about anything to sell dogs.

What? Us protecting our fur kids?? I should hope it happens a lot! Surely, you are not talking about how we jumped on her thread to let others know what we have found out about her. If it seems mean, then call me mean, I suppose...it's worth it to me if it keeps a puppy out of a broker's hands.

Thanks Marj...I would be heartbroken if Livi's babies went from our home (that ADORES them!!) to a person that didn't treat them with the same love.

I'm sorry if I worded my question wrong. I meant do people come on here often trying to scam people that way? Personally, I don't think you guys were mean enough. I can honestly say that the few times my parents and I have purchased a dog (1 cocker, 1 basset and 1 golden retriever), I had really GOOD breeders- it just boggles my mind that someone would come on a site like this and think they could worm their way in.

I'm a newbie at boards. It seemed odd to me to have someone post their phone number, but I would have never thought to do the research you all did.

I'm assuming your avatar shows what a parti colored yorkie looks like. I've never seen one. They are beautiful (but then again, I think they are all gorgeous).

Isn't it such a sad reality? I know how I felt as a newbie here and finding out the true ugliness that goes on with breeding...I am still shocked by it. I guess she just knows that she will eventually find someone with her mentality toward animals and she will end up with a puppy.

And yes, my avatar is my parti girl, Livi. I agree with you on both counts....she is beautiful, but you are so right....they all are!!

I was wondering,if you have a chocolate colored yorkie and she mated with a parti yorkie, would she have a variety of colored yorkies?

From my understanding, the colored yorkies come from traditional yorkies,so if you start mating them with all the non traditional colors then there would be all sorts of colors coming out. Oh I do believe yorkies are beautiful no matter what color. I was just trying to understand the different color thing with the yorkies.

Unless the parti yorkie carried for chocolate and/or the chocolate yorkie carried for parti, you'll just end up with all traditional colored pups who carry for both parti and chocolate.
