I thought of that too Linda - about Ellen. But will overlook my feelings about that subject and will buy the stamps to support the dogs and cats.

I don't use too many stamps here anymore but will buy extra of these just to help out the shelters.

OH...I did NOT mean I would not support it. It just bugged me to see her involved is all. I don't see her as rescue friendly is all....the way she behaved was a bit much for me and I never did see an apology. She used her fame to take down that rescue...just inexcusable in my book. She had signed a legal contract and violated it.
Enough of my rant...hahaha

I hate to tell you but this was not the first time she had done the exact same thing with other dogs but that is for another thread...

I'm sorry, by my post, I didn't mean to imply that you wouldn't support it. We share the same thoughts on the Ellen/rescue thing.

On another note.....I mentioned these to my mail carrier son, he wasn't aware of the new stamps. He tells me, "stamps on are the sale side of the postal business". I know it's not what he meant, but I couldn't help think.....you work in a small town post office that's not much bigger than my house.....how far away could the sales side be from you?

At times we need to overlook those things and think of the bottom line.

Some people do things because of their lack of education/knowledge. I have to hope she gained that knowledge and is using her celebrity status in a positive manner.

I hope she is...as I do believe actions speak louder than words. I don't want to see this thread get off topic any further and will let it go now because money does need to be made for the pups!

I was merely commenting because she has done this before and I really think she should have apologized...HOWEVER....I don't always buy apologies, so you are right, this may BE her way of making amends.

The Ellen Degeneres sponsored stamps? I bought a book of those last Thurs.

The postal worker tried to give me some Simpsons ones and I was like, "No, I want those please."

I've been waiting for April 30th to get here so I can buy these at the post office!

On a side note, Ellen is the spokesperson for Halo: Purely for Pets. Halo's is the company that is donating the meals. But, enough about her...

Yeah for shelter animals and stamps to help them get a meal!
