| What a difference a week makes!!!! Lizzie has been with us a week today!!! The first few days she just followed me everywhere I went (I guess because I was the one who went with my friend to get her and held her on my lap on the way home) - wanting to be picked up if I stopped walking! If I sat on the couch, I had to lift her on and she just lay beside me. By the third day, she started picking out toys from the basket (which Mr. Darcy bided his time, and took away!) Now she runs, jumps, chews toys (and teases Mr. Darcy with them!) She runs up to me, climbs up on the couch to give me kisses, then jumps back down to play with Mr.Darcy....they run around the house, chasing each other, then up on my bed rolling around and around - she is HOME!!!!

| That sounds like a quick adjustment time, and I'm happy for both of you! It can be heartbreaking the first few days when it seems like they're unhappy...

| It sounds like she's settled in now. You wrote that so well that I had a picture of it all in my mind. Thanks for sharing. They'll be wonderful friends!

| Sounds like she's all settled in and happy. My Charlie settled in really quickly. My cousin brought him from NY and had him at his house for one night before coming here. The weekend he brought him, he was sooo attached to my cousin, and I was worried he'd feel abandoned when he went home. But he's settled in just great. He's pretty attached to me and my girls (he definitely prefers females.) He loves my boys, but if the girls are around, he'll sort of ignore them. |
