| New to TY and first time Yorkie owner! Hello Everyone! I recently got Bailey from someone who could no longer care for her. When I first talked to the lady she told me she was 8 weeks (which is a little young to be away from Moma) and told me she had her for a week then family issues happened and could'nt keep her. When I finally was able to meet Bailey she was not an 8 week old puppy more like 4 months lol. But she stole my heart and will forever be spoiled and loved. I am excited to see how she grows and changes. |

| Welcome to YT. So do I understand that you do not know her birthdate? She does not look like 4 months old to me. Looks more like 8 to 10 weeks. Sad that she has changed homes twice already at such a young age. Good luck with her. She is a doll. |

No I don't know her birthdate...I took her to the vet to make her an appointment and they thought she looked to be around 4 months...she weighs 3.8 lbs...would a 8-10 week old puppy weigh that much at that age? It is sad that she has changed homes twice but she has found her forever home at last lol | |

It all depends on the dog-- I've got a big boy, he was 5lbs at 9 weeks old He's now 16lbs at 1.5 years old, but he stayed right at 12lbs for a long time.
