| just joined YT, want to learn about Biewers Hi everyone, My name is Cindy, I joined Yt because I am interested in learning about and someday owning a Biewer. Right now I have Maltese which I love dearly and also do rescue, I am a foster mom for Southern Comfort Maltese Rescue. I was looking on the internet for info on yorkies because we have a yorkie in our rescue and I might be fostering her. I came across the Biewer and also the Gold dust and thought they were adorable. I knew about YT because I am a member of Spoiled Maltese forum, and some people on SM are also members here. While looking thru here I also noticed parti yorkies? So what are the personalities of the Biewers like? are they like yorkies or different? Are parti's a yorkie in different colors or a separate breed like the Biewer? Are gold dust a different color Biewer? I live in Florida so I would like to find a breeder close to home if possible. It will probably be a year before I am ready because I want to do my research and also I have 4 older maltese in CHF (2 are mine and 2 are permanent fosters) that I will mostly lose this year, so I need to give them my full attention and lots of loving, till their time comes. I love looking at all your pictures, I can see why Yorkies are so popular. |

| Welcome Cindy! Lots of good info here on Biewers (and the controversy that surrounds them.) If you have not already, I would suggest using the Search feature to pull up threads on Biewers. (I have one, BTW and LOVE her to death. Great dogs.) |

| As stated there is lots of info on the Biewers and the Parti colored Yorkies on here. I own 2 particolored Yorkies, it will also depend on who you ask if they are the same or not. The golddust I am unfamiliar with unless you mean the all gold colored Yorkie. I can tell you that the particolored, gold colored, and traditional colored Yorkies are all Yorkshire Terriers and the difference is in the coloring of the dog. I cannot speak for the Biewers...good luck and enjoy!! PS thank you for fostering...I applaud you |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Welcome to YT, Cindy. I started out with traditional yorkies and have since been biten by the biewer bug...and now own 3 in addition to my yorkies. People ask if biewers personalities are different from a yorkies...and it is difficult to explain but yes, it's different. It's just hard to put your finger on it. All of mine literally melt into your arms. The best adjective is gentler. You will find loads of information here. Biewer Breed Club of America Inc. BBCA There are several members who reside in Florida. Gold dust are not considered a new breed...you can find more information about them here. Biewer Yorkshire History,Biewers Standard Beyond this board...you may wish to join a biewer forum. I'll pm ya. Fair warning with biewers...you can't stop at one.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk Cindy, as far as the Biewer personality they are more laid back and just sweet little love bugs. I have one, my little boy Bogie and he is just a playfull little furball. There are lots of info and threads about the biewers on here. Lots of interesting reading.
