| Hi, well, I've been dealing with mine being sick for 6 weeks. She had a bad reaction to some new food, (Orijen) and started vomiting and pooping blood. The vet put her on IV and prescription diet food. That food must be awful too, or she hasn't healed inside. Saturday night was my limit....after cleaning bloody poop and staying up all night giving her water...I decided to feed her rice and turkey that I made myself. I also read online to give her L-glutamine and slippery elm to heal her colon and stomach lining. I am going to get the stuff today. The rice and turkey seems to have settled her tummy. She can't eat chicken. I don't think I would feed yours cat food. It probably would upset a tummy that is already not completely feeling well. |

| Good job going to a different vet. Always follow your gut feelings. I would definitely call or send a copy of your bill to the X vet, maybe ask for a refund for your last office visit (I doubt you'll get it, but to let them know). As for food, you can feed any that state 'for all life stages' on the package, the difference will be that puppies need to eat more than adult dogs. I feed any food that is around 20-25% protein (dry/kibble) and actually mix two different brands together, and change 1 brand each time I buy new, so they don't get bored with eating the same thing. I also add in diffent things, some canned, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, string beans, carrots, apples, zuchinni, rice, plain chicken, etc. to make it interesting. Nature's Recipe states that it is easy to digest on their packaging. I would get them both on probiotics asap, too. That will help with their digestion by keeping a supply of good bacteria in their intestines all the time.

| I'm glad that Mignon is doing better! I'm sorry your first vet didn't catch right away. Camden had a problem with worms when we got her too. Keep us posted!

| The slippery elm works! Normal poop today. I have never been so happy to see a nice normal size poop! I didn't realize dog food could have such a bad reaction...especially dog food that got rated the number 1 on many web sites. Mine was on Life abundance, but I am switching to Natural Balance venison and sweet potato. |

| I am glad your furbuddy is feeling better Iams is what I have fed my Marvin...so I just picked that up. Seems to work well for Fizz so was happy about that. The funny thing is I am dog sitting a toy poodle and the little girl won';t eat her food...She will only eat the Iams while fizz is eating. And I agree a good vet makes all the difference. I think South Dayton Vet Clinic Rock!!! |

| I love our vet. He even called me over the weekend to check on Tia. Although, they don't know much about natural remedies, which I think works well in some cases. |
