| Anyone out there speak 'wag'? One of my females is trying to tell me things ... with her tail! Needless to say, I am confused. At times it goes around and around, so fast I think it's going to fly off somewhere by itself. Then she wags more center to right, I think this is when she wants something. Then the normal type of tap on the floor wag when she's half asleep on the floor, like she doesn't want me to know she's awake and sees me. Any suggestions... I don't want to misinterpret (or miss out on) what she's saying....

| i wish i knew...Sadie's wag is so different sometimes that i use her eyes and her facial expressions more than her tail to understand her...good luck figuring her all out. i don't know if there really is a good way to tell what the tail is telling...but if there is i'm sure someone on here has researched it and can help you. |

| Usually with Reesie a wild tail wag along with ears straight up and her bouncing up and down means "Get me outta here! Take me someplace!" |

| OMG! I almost forgot... her thing she does to get my attention: She sits in the middle of the living room, throws her head to one side, barks, throws her head to the other side, barks, and keeps repeating this until I finally look directly at her. I think she's trying to throw her bark the entire 180 degrees... I tell ya the first time I saw this I thought she was having some kind of seizure... her movements are totally spastic when she does this. And then she'll add a foot stomp with both front feet... so cute! I wish I could takes pics or a movie of her doing this but she's click shy, anything that makes a click sound and she's gone!

| Our German shepherd trainer told us that wagging from side to side means the dog is happy and friendly but wagging in a full circle is a sign of dominance I used to think that all wagging meant the dog was happy.
