| This is so disturbing. I'm sitting here with tears and my 12-year old daughter is crying. (She is a huge animal lover and is a complete natural with all animals.) How on earth is this allowed?? My daughter asked me and I have no real answer for her. I knew what puppy mills were to an extent. I had read about them here and there. I would have always agreed they were terrible. But never in my life could I have imagined what I saw in that video. How can these people sleep at night? How can they go out to feed or water those dogs and not be affected? I look at my Charlie and think how could anyone treat any living thing like that. The other thing I'm wondering is if this is just with dogs? Are other animals living like this as well? |

I didn't watch the video because I've seen puppy mills and backyard breeders first hand and don't have to be reminded how horrible they are. It's unfortunate that the majority they choose to breed are small cute dogs because the puppies are very cute and sale very well. With the way they're kept their expense is less and that means more profit to them....they're just a paycheck!! The average person looking for a cute pet may have heard of puppy mills but they certainly don't connect them with the cute little puppy they are about to buy. There is more work needed to educate more of the public about Pet Shops, BYB and Brokers. To answer your question...Yes, other animals are treated in this manner also. Actually anything they can make money from. Depends on the supply and demand as to what is popular at any given time. The real problems come when there are too many supplying without the demand and that's when they usually end up in the shelters. Gab

| I couldn't bring myself to watch the entire video. How in the world can people do this to animals? My heart is broken.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | This kind of thing break my heart in so many pieces...This poor animales. Don't these people see what they are doing...Inever really knew much about puppymills till I got Izzy...When we met to pick up Izzy, we met at at Mcdonald's that was half way for me and the breeder. But the odd thing was that all the vet check up papers for Izzy was in the town where we met... Then when I saw Izzy and held her, she stunk SO BAD that i couldn't hold her the whole way home. And i thought to myself " if i was giving the puppy a new home I would make sure it was bathed and smelled great. Which now makes me wonder if she was a puppymill pup...I have no idea...I even emailed current Pictures of izzy to the breed and she responded that she was a beautiful dog. I love my Izzy..and nothing will ever change that. But just the thought of her being treated like that makes me want to SPIT TACKS!!!!! All I can do is make sure I tell eveyone I know about puppymills... these are living animales that should not be treated this way..I really make me ticked off!!
