| Same thing happened to me!! My Emma has been at 3 lbs for forever! I went to the vet and she was 3 lbs 1 oz!! I was really worried, but the vet also told me not to worry. He said any growth is a good sign. She eats...just isn't growing...I'd like to hear what others suggest too

| Please get your vet or a new vet to run some bloodwork on both these pups. It wouldn't hurt to do a Bile Acid Test on them too.

YT Addict | Lula is now 3lbs.... well, 3lbs 2OZ! haha She was at 2 1/2 for a long time before hitting 3. Im always asking my Vet if she is too skinny. The other day I had a long talk with my trainer friends and they told me not to worry "she has puppy weight right now, once her engergy dies down she will start gaining more weight". Makes sence. Its more dangerous to have an overwieght dog than an underweight one. I leave Lula's food out so she eats what she is comfortable eating. She is also fed very high standard food not "fast food" type kibble. I think that also has alot to do with it.

| Low weight/difficulty putting on weight and not growing as expected can be early symptoms of possible Liver Shunt/MVD. As LiverShunt is very common in this breed, it would be wise to run bloodwork to rule this out and to establish a baseline for future reference, and stop worrying over what to feed to put weight on, at least until the results are in.
