What a kind and loving person you are. Beautiful pictures, she and the little one must have been very happy to have seen each other. Thank you for sharing. |
I love all the pictures. Carol looks so happy to see Nikki, that warms my heart. Patti, Thank you for being so kind to Carol- I don't know her but I can see how happy you made her. |
Thanks,I haven't even known Carol a year yet but for some reason we were meant to meet and now we know why. She was terrified that her kids would come in and take Nikki and give him away like they did with her 2 dogs the last time she had a less serious stroke. I promised her I would take Nikki if anything happened to her and honestly never thought I would need to. I haven't had a male in 20 years!! |
how beautiful, that is love right there |

I went to dinner and had to come back and look at the pictures again. I love #2 in the second post. They look like they are gazing into each others souls. I wonder what is going through Nikki's mind? and if he understands she is not well enough to take care of him. I bet he does, cause they seem to understand everything. My mom and dad took in a younger rat terrier. A woman boarded him at the vets office where my niece works while she went to the hospital. She ended up going straight to the nursing home and never getting "Sonny" out of the vet clinic. A few months after, my mom went to the nursing home to visit the woman, and tell her not to worry about Sonny, and that he was fine. The poor woman said to my mom "I used to have a dog named Sonny" Bless her heart, she did not understand that my mom was taking care of her Sonny. |
What an awesome thing you did for him and his mom. You are an awesome person! |
Patti those were just wonderful pictures of a very special reunion. You are a very special person to take in Nikki now that Carol is living in a nursing home. Thank you for being such a caring person to step up for both of them. :) |

You are such a blessing! How enlightening! It shows in the pictures how happy it makes her! |
That is such a nice thing you are doing for Carol and I am sure she just loves you for taking in Nikki. You are a really great person for doing that! |
It is so nice that the nursing homes allow you to bring them in. This one didn't even require a health certificate and we could go anywhere we wanted with him. The patio and grounds are all fenced in which is nice too since I forgot his leash!!!lol So many of the residents we encountered just lit up when they saw Nikki and started talking about their dogs. Carol said there were 2 boxers there the other day. I may check into taking him to nursing homes in my area since he is so well behaved. My 3 girls would be to skittish. |
How wonderful, I have a bichon that is 13 and my grandmother has loved him since day one, whenever I go visit I take him and when things get rough like when my grandfather passed away, no one made her feel the way he did, theses precious babies have such a way we don't even understand! |
nikie went to visit his mom today The quality of mercy is not strain'd, It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest: It blesseth him that gives and him that takes. |
Hi, I am new and I have to say those pics are so sweet they brought tears to my eyes.. I am sure she will look forward to seeing him again.. your the sweetest person for doing that.. You can tell they love each other .. :) |
Oh wow, Patti! Those pictures are amazing! I sat here crying as I viewed them. So touching! The love those two have for each other shines through in the pictures...you captured it perfectly. You are Carol's angel here on earth. I think God brought you two together...knowing Carol needed someone to watch after her. You are so amazing and such a special and giving lady. I'm so glad your trip went so well and Nikki had no adverse effects from is as he did the last time. Carol looks very good. I bet she's still smiling after seeing her precious Nikki. Bless your heart, dear friend! |
