| what type of coat does my yorkie have I'm not sure what type of coat my yorkie has. it looks very strait, but maybe not silky. However the hair on his head is very shiny but a little thin. I don't think he has a cottony coat, but I'm curious what others think. |

| I'm going with modified. Not quite silky and not all cottony. Buddy is a silky coated Yorkie and his coat is straighter than that. You baby's coat looks soft but cottony. Silky coated Yorkies are not fluffy, I guess is the right word, their coat just falls down straight. He's a cutie. |

| Then his coat is probably still changing. I bet it loses some of the cottony texture.

| Wow he is so cute! His face reminds me a lot of Jackson's in that 1st pic. I still haven't figured out Jackson's either. I think he's modified. Cuz Jackson's not like fluffy like the cotton coated Yorkies I've seen here but his hair isn't straight either, it's a lot curlier than your babies when it grows out.

| His hair looks cottony to me. I have a Yorkie that is 2 years old and she has silky hair. I just bought another Yorkie a couple of months ago and her coat is so different. It's soft. She is 6 months old. My Yorkie hair is very very shinny and just hangs straight. You can look at my pictures and you will see what I'm talking about. I love looking at the cottony hair..it gives me an idear of what I will be looking for. |

| Just looked at Marley's album pics and I would say he has a silky coat. (Some of the pics his eyes are showing green and not red). His coat looks like Beamer's did at one time.
