| ![]() Ahhh! Other people are admitting to harboring killers, so I guess I can share my story. A few weeks ago, a squirrel got trapped in the garage (we didn't know it was there, but I guess the dogs did!). When we opened the door between the house and the garage, the dogs went tearing out to the garage and started to chase it. Stupid squirrel ran into the house ![]() Well, the Pitty was standing there in the hallway trying to figure out what the commotion was from the small ones was all about, when the squirrel ran past him. Like greased lightning (hard to do for an old, arthritic 14 year old Pitty), he reached a foot out and trapped the squirrel by the tail. MEANWHILE, here comes Puddie hot on the trail of the squirrel, which, by now was conveniently trapped. I think the poor squirrel died of a heart attack when Nitro stepped on its tail, but you can't prove it by Puddie. Nitro released the squirrel to Puddie (Ah, here ya go, Son! Your first kill ![]() There is a WHOLE new 'tude about squirrels around the house these days ![]() Last edited by Lee B; 04-16-2010 at 10:30 AM. |

| ![]() My ruby must not have this killer instinct! I had her at a friends house who had her pet hamster out and was holding it in her hands. Ruby seemed interested so she brought them face to face... she just sniffed it haha. ![]() |

| ![]() My Max is a soppy puppy! He has a best friend better known as our Rabbit! ![]() By accident my partner left our Rabbits cage open, we let Max out and then noticed Max and Rabbit together with Max licking Rabbits nose and face LOL. They now spend afternoons laying in the sun snuggled up together! Must get picture of this soon! I'm constantly keeping my eyes on them though...just incase!!

| ![]() We had a tiny dwarf bunny that the Yorkies (Pommies could care less) and kitty were actually afraid of. She would rear up on her hind legs flailing her front feet and growl if they bugged her too much. We also have a cockatiel that has the respect of my dogs and Missy Cat. She is free to fly if she so prefers but mostly stays on her cage...(she's getting old.) Once in awhile she decides to take a flight around the room and misses the cage on her return approach. Everyone (mostly the Yorkies) is interested in why she is on the floor but they keep their distance. She spreads her wings and hisses. Everyone takes a few steps back. ![]() ![]()

| ![]() My new puppy is the great worm killer, she thinks it is great fun to ponce on a worm and then bring it to us. She is so proud, my son is really grossed out as he lets her kiss him on the face. Great life lesson before kissing know what the other party has been doing with there mouth. |

| ![]() Funny stories!!! We had mice in the house but my boys were useless with those. We needed traps. LOL My 'doggy sitter' friend has a bunny that is about 8lbs and my boys are 6lbs and 11lbs, they were fine together. No problems at all. Fletcher was all over the bunny but not to hurt it at all and Dexter could care less really, the bunny was not treats, nor was it mom, so it held no interest to him! haha

| ![]() Our Bailey is a veteran mouse killer. She's gettin good at it too! We can tell when she's hot on the trail. She sniffs around, tracks, stalks, points.....and then POUNCE!!! Most of the time she comes up empty handed - but sometimes she comes up with a field mouse - then she gives it the death shake. She's real good about droping it on command - I get the pooper scooper and toss it asap. Hubby is a hunter and couldn't be more proud of our lil' sweetie. ![]()

| ![]() Mine's not a killer yet....but he dreams about it all the time. I have a bird feeder in the flowerbed outside the front window and Boo Boo sits on the back of the couch and barks at anything that moves, sometimes he even growls. But he is very selective about what he is willing to attack. My neighbor's Giant Mastiff's are fair game for barking and growling. The skunk that was hiding under the boat trailer, however, didn't even warrant an "inside bark". And the garter snake we found today made me and boo boo jump back and yelp! I don't know what we will do this summer after I get the yard fenced in and he can run around without the leash! I'm hoping the bunnies will be safe, the chipmunks too...but the skunks are on their own!! |

| ![]() Sasha tried to hunt 2 squirrels today while on our walk. Luckily they ran up the tree & I kept her close to me or else she would've tried! About a year ago, we used to have cockatiels. One of them was leaning over the cage door stretching, lost her footing & fell. Well Sasha just scooped her up in her mouth, but thankfully she didn't bite down. She didn't really have a chance considering everyone screamed at her so she dropped her right away. I felt bad though because later on, she must've been so shocked from all our screams that all she wanted to do was sit in the corner in the dark, poor thing didn't wanna step foot in the house. It's like she knew she had done wrong. We had to entice her to come back in the house. |

OMG....I cant stop laughing at this story....I think are dogs are related....except our critter was a possium....it was all i could do to get it from them....Lol...we killed it trying to get in my doggie door and while hubby was carring it to dispose....one of mine jumped up and grabbed it and took off with all the others following and barking....I have 8 yorkies...so you have to picture me yelling him chasing and all the neighbors out on a sat afternoon doing yard work....It is still funny just the thought of it.
