Birthday Cake suggestions Tinker's birthday is March 16.....she's going to be 1 yr. old!!!! . I was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions on how to make a good doggy friendly birthday cake. She's only 2 1/2 lbs, and she may not eat a lot but she deserves a b-day cake anyway. Any suggestions and ideas are extremely appreciated!! I would also like to hear what everyone did for their little angel's bday!!

I'm on a three dog bakery binge here.....but I just searched their website and they sell a doggie birthday cake - serves 8. Refrigerates for 2 wks, freezes for 2 months. It is pricey - $19.95, but at least it is for sure doggie safe. I would also imagine that if you search far enough on the net you might be able to find a doggie safe recipe.

I found a few websites for you! They sound prettty good. If I were a dog, I would love to eat these cakes. haha http://www.foodfunandfacts.com/k9birthdaycake.htm My brother has a lab mix and he buys doggy ice cream from Wal-Mart for his dog. He seems to love it! I believe it's all Pawsicles (?). I'm not sure, but they put it with human ice cream!

Here are some pix of Otis's birthday and his cake. Mike's mom put Ceasar's in a bone-shaped cookie cutter, and stuck a candle in the middle. If you run out of ideas, this one is simple and it's really cute!

I love all the pics of the Birthday cakes and the pups. Great Ideas you all offer. I guess I need to make one for Gucci on her Bday. Her Birthday is not until July 10 so I have time to practice and get more ideas, lol.

On Ty's 1st b-day I went to Safeway in the bakery and asked for a tiny cup cake, and it was bite size, no frosting put a candle in it and he loved it. I only let him have 2 bites of it. but he loved it!

Dogsters There is a company call Dogsters that makes cakes and ice cream for dogs. You can find it at regular supermarkets in the ice dream section (they look just like regular ice cream - so I wonder how many people buy them for themselves by accident - bacon flavor EWW!). Biddy loves them! You can't even get near her when she is eating them...
