| Is he part reptile??!! I am concerned about Lucky's water intake! It seems that he isn't drinking enough water, for my liking I try everything....I put ice cubes in his bowl, I even try to freeze 'watersicles' for him! How much do he need...and do he actually know when he should drink? I am always checking his bowl and it seem to me that it hardly goes down. I am constantly putting fresh water out for him and it's just not appealing to him!lol I am just worried that he will let himself dehydrate Please...any suggestions??!!

| Lucky is very healthy to my knowledge....I was concerned that he might not know that he HAS to drink!! lol I am assuming that he knows that when he needs water he will drink it! I'm always here reading up on everything but I never seen anything on this before.....I trust that he won't dehydrate himself on purpose....I feel silly even asking but right now it's my only concern.......

| There are times that I wonder if Kaji has had a drink of water. I know he hasn't if before bed he goes over and drinks the entire bowl. There are days he does this, and days he drinks as the day goes along. I do wonder why he chooses to drink water the way he does, and it does worry me at times. Just saying I understand!

| I figure it this way, if he's (my Jack) peeing, then he must be taking in enough water. I thought he wasn't getting enough either, at least not compared to my prior pup, but all dogs are different and each have their own "required amount" of not only water but food also. Just my opinion although I know Jack is healthy. At least my vet says he is.

| This really isn't an answer to your question, but mine love to drink the pool water. We have a salt system rather than chlorine, so I don't think it's that bad for them. I put this dental rinse in their water and it makes the water a little minty tasting. (I tasted it) They really love it, and it's good for their teeth (reduces tartar) and breath too!

| Sugar doesn't like to drink water too, what I'll do is, I put some water together with her favourite treats, she must drink water before she gets it. Hope it helps
