| i defin. know that a yorkie is the right fit for me, i researched and wouldn't have gotten her if she wasn't 100% perfect fit. i love pugs because they are so stinkin cute, but the shedding problems no thanks!! i also love golden retrievers (had one growing up), huskies and malmutes, beagles, cockers, rots, german shepards, border collies, and many more....the problem..Shedding....I'm a hair a phobe i hate hate hate having a house full of dog hair, it's bad enough married to an Italian that sheds so yorkies are it for me |

| Besides Gypsy I have a long hair chi and a boston terrier. I would love a pug or pomeranian. If I could handle a really big dog, would love a great pyrenees or new foundland.

| Before I got the Yorkie, I always wanted a Maltese. However, since they're white, it takes a lot more work to groom and maintain them than a yorkie. I love my Yorkie!!! |

| We were thinking of getting a havanese for our 2nd dog, or if we get a 3rd maybe lol. When we picked Bandit (our first) we were choosing a dog based on it being smaller and not making my allergies go crazy. A yorkie was the only one who fit the bill...even a poodle made me puff up and sneeze!!! |

| After the 2 yorkies my 3rd was a Cockazu(Cocker spaniel s**tzu mix) I wanted a s**tzu and husband wanted a Cocker. Abigail looked up with 1 bright blue eye and we knew we wanted the one missing a contact. No we thought the personalities from the ones we knew would be a calm addtion to our lively yorkies. They trained her to be a yorkie too. I know yorkies fit me and husband best, but I've always loved Brussel Gs too. |

| i plan to get a yorkie, but don't have one yet. i do have another pup - and i had no clue what breed she was when i picked her - i picked her cus she was adorable and i fell in love! turns out she's a mutt - lol. well, the vet says she's half fox terrier and half some other terrier, but there's no way to know for sure of course when you adopt a pet. she IS beautiful! she's black with brown paws, brown beard, and brown eyebrows - and she's little - 8.8 lbs! her eyebrows look like bushy old man eyebrows - so cute! my mom has always had boston terriers and i hate them! hate is a strong word, but i've been around them long enough to say it, haha. they remind me of PIGS! they have big bellies and snort - ugh! |

☺Farrah☺ Donating Member | Don't laugh, but if allergies (husband and son) weren't a problem I would have a Great Dane! Had them growing up. Beautiful, majestic creatures.

I thought about this thread. Being that I work full time and already have my 2 girls - if I were to ever get another dog - it would be a shelter dog - small because I live in an apartment now but still - a shelter dog. I wouldn't mind having a cat again - they're so independent but I'm not crazy about a litterbox | |

| I was raised with great Danes so when we get an outside dog that's what she'll be. And I'm gonna name her Thumbelina!!!

| If I did not have yorkie and wanted a larger breed, I would get a mini Australian shepherd... I think they are beautiful dogs!
