| It was already mentioned in one of the above posts. Intact males that have been bred tend to mark in their own house, even if they are house broken as house breaking and marking are two totally separate things. Another worry with an intact male that has been bred is that they get a "taste" for it. They will actively search bitches in heat, and even know when one is in heat miles and miles away. You risk losing him to his hormones and he can very possibly run away from home just to "get some action."

Something I will add is the fact that no reputable Yorkshire Terrier breeder would ask someone off the street to use their Yorkie for breeding. NEVER!!! No matter how cute your Yorkie is a REAL reputable breeder (not the pretending to be ones) would never do this.

| i want to thank everyone for being civil on this thread questions like this normally result in terrible verbal arguments that scare new member s away it makes me happy to see that we can answer questions of this sort without yelling and i think its a good idea not to breed

Now in all seriousness, I think that you have received some great advice from everyone and would like to add a little side note about neutering. I while ago there was another member who was offered the same proposition and her easiest come back was "sorry my boy is neutered"

Also to the OP...did you say you do not want to neuter your male? If so, may I ask why?
