| Just added another Yorkie Hi, I have a 5 yrs old male (N) and just received a 6 yr old male (N). They haven't yet been together 24 hrs yet. The new one come from a home with much bigger dogs and he is bigger than my first one. My question is why does he go around scratching on the carpet when the other one is sitting there? Is he trying to get the other one to play? Like when they get done going potty outside? Thanks in advance for any clues. Pamela722 |

| Congratulations on your new bundle of joy! I don't know why he is scratching the carpet. Just have to watch him and see if you can figure it out, I guess. Or you can just rack it up to him being a yorkie.

| Oh no. What happened to the little girl yorkie you rescued a month ago? I had just left a message about her in your other thread. |

| About the scratching.. dogs have glands in their footpads that leave a scent. My guess is that it is just your dogs way of 'marking' his new territory. |
