I was wondering the same thing! They probably have the kennel away from their home in the country. The house seemed to be in a city neighborhood. Funny how they didn't mention or film the kennel in the video. I did see it advertised on her SUV. I'm glad it's being shut down.

If you go to the link for their site you can see a few pictures of the property. I would tend to believe they live on some acreage and there is a pond in the background. The picture on their site and the building in the background on the YouTube look similar. There is even a pond on the video and also a picture of a pond on their site. What is interesting is the site said they feed Life's Abundance but she is feeding table food like pot roast and fried chicken in the video.

Not that any of this mean a thing but I just happened to notice all of the contradictions which made the entire clip even more outrageous.

UGH! I will never understand people who can operate puppymills, but how this lady can decide that some of the dogs are worthy of being pampered and the rest are basically nothing but money makers who deserve to live with LESS than what is even considered humane. I just can't wrap my head around it. Even worse, I'm guessing the mill dogs fund the lifestyle of the "house" dogs. Sick to my stomach.

I also have a really hard time believing that the flim crews didn't notice nearly 100 other dogs in all the time that they were there. I would think the barking alone coming from that many dogs would have been cause for suspicion. Come on!

I watched it again and realize that was their property in the very beginning. That other house was where the husband was working on the air condtioner unit outside. The six are spoiled and the rest (in the kennels) fund their lifestyle... Outrageous!

She said that she spends $100,000 a year on clothes for the house dogs! I want to throw up...on her! Did you see how she took the dogs with her to the salon and they were ALL getting their nails painted

I would think if could be pretty easy to have 98 dogs if there were several litters of puppies and adult dogs. If there were say 8 or 10 females all with a litter the numbers could add up pretty quickly. That is in addition to the 8 she had inside her house. It's like a Cinderella story with the evil stepmother and all privileged children and the castoffs living in squaller. Let's hope that all find homes that will treat them with love now that they are out of her clutches.

$100,000 could have been spent on the health care for the dogs in the kennels. She must have been making serious bucks on the sale of those poor puppies through the internet.

Well I think that the article that was posted pretty much says the opposite of anyone spending $100,000 on healthcare of those in the "kennel". Take a look below~doesn't sound like much was done for the health of their dogs.

Well what makes it really sad as well is the counter at the bottom of their web site over 80,00 views what if just a 1/4 of those people got puppies....thats alot of breeding.

The owner and caretaker were both charged with animal cruelty today, so hopefully there will be 98 counts on each, but unfortunately, our penalties are weak. Hopefully the judge will come down as hard as they can.

Just a note here, they cannot adopt the dogs out until she goes to court as they are considered evidence. So it might be awhile, but it doesn't hurt to call..

First off, I know because I was born here, the accents are not NC accents, so please no stereotypes about the south or NC. Second, why cant the USDA regulate this business like they do cattle or fowl.

I am politically conservative, but I do believe that regulation is needed and should be enforced to end the suffering of animals. I believe that animals should not suffer no matter what their intended use is. There are humane ways to deal with animals that are used as food, and there is certainly no excuse to treat animals being raised as pets so horribly.

I wish I could find this entire episode but it's nowhere to be found! I want to see what it was like for the other wife taking care of Rush's dogs. I barely remember this episode as i did see it, but it was in '07 so I don't recall everything. But if I remember right they NEVER showed the kennels, does anyone remember?

You are right, they are being held at Guilford County animal shelter as evidence. At least they will be well cared for until the trial. This is pretty big local news so a lot of them will get adopted after it is all over hopefully.

They didn't, you're right. They must have *overlooked* that little issue...

This lady is a piece of work. Way back when I was looking for my first Yorkie I contacted her and she was rude and a complete b**** to me. I asked for pics of the parents and she told me that the puppies won't look like them, I asked if she did any health testing and she said that she did, but when I asked which health tests she got rude and basically told me to kiss off in so many words. I have never been to her "facility" but I know people who have bought pups from her that are sick. She is terrible and thank God somebody finally brought her down!
