OMG....Jodi....my heart stopped when I started reading and I couldn't get to the end fast enough. I was thrilled you found Pebbles, but like you my mind raced to Doodlebug and Bogey. What a scary morning.....take a deep relaxing breath! Hugs to you and so relieved this ended on such a happy note! And, God bless those ladies that saved Pebbles and Bogey for you! |

Thank God they are safe!! They probably were all out enjoying the stroll while you were freaking out!! Then when you got them home they ate up the attention! That is how it was everytime my kids let Daisy out.......She would be gone for hrs and I would be freaking out crying thinking horrible things and she was just having a dandy ole time!! |
I'm so happy you found your babies! The wind blew our door open and Bella ran out and we didn't realize it. 15 minutes later, with me in tears and the whole family searching, my son found her locked in the garage when he went to find a flashlight. Apparently she went into the garage when my husband was closing it up and that's where she stayed until we found her. It was the most terrifying 15 minutes I can recall. I can't imagine losing 3 babies and suffering for 45 minutes! |

Oh my goodness. That's it I'm getting collars and tags for my babies now!!! I saw these tags at boomerangtags.com and they have one that slips on the collar so it doesn't hang. I think I might get that one for them. My guys hate hate hate collars but they have no choice now!! So glad your story ended happily. I also admit that I immediatly looked at the next post to see if they were ok. So scary!! |
What a terrifying experience! I'm so glad it had a happy ending. I was almost afraid to read your post! |
I am so glad you got your babies back. |
Omg I'm so glad their safe. Thats enough for me I'm getting tags on Sofia today. |
Oliver has tags, a name tag and his rabies tag from the vet which has the "Get me home" feature. People can go online from the info on the tag and find out my info to contact me. I think I will still go get new tags with my phone number engraved on it for both Oliver and Mya. I haven't even started making Mya wear her collar yet as I'm always outside with her, but she has now learned the stairs and could easily slip out... so it's time! This thread has definitely made me think about adding info on tags to keep my babies safe. |

If I'm going to start having my gang wear tags, I need something they can wear day & night. Can you leave this type of harness on long-term. |
Oh My GOSH    ...what a story...THANKS to God for bringing them home safe and sound...:) |
I can just imagine you sitting there sooooooo happy and releived - it brought a smile to my face - and a big hug and kiss to my Mr. Darcy!!:exclaim::exclaim::exclaim: |
Jodi- I can't even begin to imagine what you were going through during the 45 minutes when they were missing! I am so glad you got all of your babies back, and they are safe at home where they belong. :) |
Holy Crap Jodi! I'm so glad all 3 are home safe and sound! I am going to be way better about mine wearing their collars, and Addy is getting chipped asap! |
OMG! Oh Jodi, what a horrible start to your morning with a thankfully wonderful ending. My heart just about pounded out of my chest reading your post. I'm so, so, so happy you have all three back and safe with you. It definitely gives me something else to consider in the great collar debate. My girls always wear them with their id tags and their harness when we go out for walks and their daycare requires a breakaway collar with id tags, but I don't know what I should do when we are at home. Living in a high rise, I feel pretty confident if they got out the door they'd have a hard time getting from the 14th floor, to the elevator, all the way downstairs and then out the door, but you just never know...of course, there is nothing to say that if someone discovered them that they would be honest. I've seen the Buddy Belts before, and I really like the looks of them. Those that use them, do you keep them on even when your pups are home alone? I thought I read something about a puppy that was hung by his harness (not collar) when left alone wearing it. :( On the rare occasion my girls are home alone, I leave them completely nude (even remove their hair bows) for fear of choking hazards. |
OMG, my heart was in my mouth reading your post, so glad you got all 3 of your precious babies back unharmed. |
I'm so glad you found them all safe and sound! |
Wow I KNOW how frightened you were--I just experienced a missing/stolen puppy for over a week-- thankfully he/TJ was returned yesterday to his rightful owner. I don't do collars except on the bigger dogs. I am rethinking my thoughts on this. Everyone is micro-chipped including puppies before they go to their new homes. But without the collars you would have to wait until the micro-chips could be scanned.... |

OH my goodness i read your thread and all the things that happened to you, I always cringe at the thought of my little one getting out of the yard..I am always afraid he is soo cute that someone might keep him...That is why I to have the collar with the tags. Mr. Buttons is Mrcrochipped but just remember someone has to take the time to get your dog scanned if they find them and some people unfortunately wont take the time or money(if the vet charges)...Keep those tags on...Remember they are small dogs and like to squeeze into little nooks and crannies...Easily lost and unless you have the harness on in the house all the time, where else are you going to put the tags!! |
I'm so glad you had a happy ending! I was so nervous seeing your thread title! Quote:

Oh My Goodness! I know you were so afraid! I am so happy you found them all..safe... |
Oh Jodi, I am so glad you got all three back so quickly, safely and sound!. Now I am really in a tizzy about what to do! |
oh my...i am glad you have all 3 back! i know from personally experience how terrified you must have been...i am still living the nightmare.... |
oh my GOSH!!!! I cannot even *imagine* how terrifying that must have been!!! thank GOD (litterally) that they all made it home safely!!! big big big hugs to you!!! |
omg, Megansmom, you sure had my heart pounding too. It would be bad enough that one was gone, but all 3!!! Wow! I'm so afraid of this happening too. In spite of the possible hazzards, I just can't bring myself to not have Roxy's tags on her. I'm so happy you got them all back so quickly. Hope you are able to relax by now. |
How awful, I am so glad they are all home safely!! |
Thank God for wonderful neighbors. I am so glad all three of them are back home and in your lap! I have 2 gates...one is out of my sight when I let Betty Boop out (of course, I'm right behind her, but then right behind her is where I always stay because she is too fast for me. lol). I'm going right now to put a lock on that particular gates and to also put her collar and tags on her. What a reunion you 4 must have had!!!! What are you fixing them for supper tonight???????? Their favorite, I bet! |
