| Jealous??? I noticed when my grandkids are here, and my little 4 year old grandson sits beside me cuddling, Mr. Darcy jumps up on the back of the couch, then squirms his way down in between us - he does this everytime! My concern is that I am getting another little furbaby this Spring, and I am wondering whether I will have a bit of a problem with him being jealous - I can't 'tell' him how much I love him and he isn't being replaced, but she will be company and a playmate for him (and be loved by me too!!)

| I've ran into that with our 2 month old twin g'daughters. Bella and the twin have been around each other since they were about 2 weeks old. At first my son would talk really rough to Bella and I would step in telling him that she lives here you don't. And I have told them both, my son and his wife, that if they make such a big deal with Bella being around the girls, then there will be problems, because the breed can be jealous. So like you when I am holding one or both I make sure that Bella is on my lap or laying beside me. Plus I don't want the girls to be afraid of dogs. I'm a firm believer in starting babies out early with a good dog. |
