| Glad to hear he did well. Ellie's vet office had sevo for awhile. They went back to Iso. Didn't like the sevo. It is more expensive, but for them it wasn't about that. Not sure that they could do a dental on propofol alone b/c I think they'd have to give more than what they would want to. For the dentals I have seen, it's an injection of a cocktail of drugs first (or propofol depending on animal) and then Iso to maintain. They have to turn it up until patient doesn't resist anymore for dentals. I'm sure it's somewhat higher for abdominal surgery. Masking down is very controversial. And unless a vet specifically tells you that they are going to do the cleaning, then it is probably a tech. But a vet should always look at them before waking the animal up.
