| Would you post the link? I saw a *perfect* cut when looking through pics yesterday ... I was going to send it home to take to the groomer, but got distracted by a phone call (I was at work ) and forgot. Now I can't find it. The one I liked had longer hair on the legs, a beautiful round face, and short body ... |

| Mr. Darcy has a very fine coat. I just love the way it catches the breeze and seems to 'float' around him! I trim him myself. I bought clippers from Walmart. They had a picture of a Yorkie on the box, and are PINK, but Mr. Darcy doesn't seem to think this threatens his manly-ness!!!!! I just do his ear tips, face and feet. On Saturday I had him out back with me - he was on a thin string (also pink!) attached to his harness (we live up north in Canada with woods behind us) he went under the pine trees and came out covered in burrs. Took me almost an hour to comb them out - they were everywhere - even attached to his 'under carriage'!! but I still like his coat on the long side!!

| Glad you posted pix...I have been thinking about cutting their body hair, and leaving the leg hair, and wanted to see how it looked...Not sure I'm going to get Apple's skirt cut completely off, maybe just to her tummy....In the avatar, she is only 9 months old, and that looks like a good length, for summer...However, she has lots more leg hair (now that's funny to say about a young lady ) than in the 9 mo. pic...She's a year and a half now... |

| Thanks for all the good replies. I wish I knew how to post pictures so you all could see Abby now. Her hair is very thick, it lays flat in the front but on her rump it gets wavy. I can comb her out and as soon as she does her little "shake" it looks like it has never been combed. She won't let me use the hair dryer after a bath, but the groomer does and after she is professionally groomed her back hair does lay flat and straight. She stays in the house except to potty or when we are outdoors. She loves to roll in the grass and she enjoyed playing in the snow this winter. I will definitely print out some pictures to take to the groomer. She has two Yorkies but hers stay in the house all the time. In fact she brings one to work with her and she goes home at lunch and swaps them out. |

| summer cut Yes Bella has a summer cut. She does much better with short hair. She has alot of dry skin and itches alot. The shorter her hair cut the better for her.

| Buddy wears a summer cut all year long. I tried leaving his hair grow during winter months but come spring he has so much I don't know where to start so I just keep him cut the same way 12mos a year. I have, this past winter, let his tail come in. Buddy sports a tail feather now. It looks so cute. So his back is shaved, legs long, face short and his tail feather is about 3" long. He has gotten many compliments on his cut. It suits him to a T |
