| New puppy advice... Hello, Hi i have a new beautiful puppy he is a yorkie mix w/ something else which my sister doesn't know who is the father because her dog ran away got pregnant and came back he is now 9 weeks and he is adorable i wanted to know if you guys had any advice for me since this is the first time having a puppy.. |

| I looked at your pics (which btw are adorable)But its just so hard to tell, your sister hasn't seen any strays running in the area? or any clue to help narrow it down? I bet a vet could figure it out. Either way your very lucky to have such a cute baby! Good Luck! Ps. I hope your sister now intends to spay her precious girl, to prevent any further accidents?

| He's really, really adorable. I'm a first time puppy/dog owner myself, and I would say the first thing you should do is take him to a vet for an initial checkup, and since he's so young the vet will probably put him on a schedule for all the vaccinations he needs. I would ask him or her when it's okay to socialize with other dogs, and when he has a clean bill of health just love him like crazy. Now is also a good time to start some basic training, housebreaking, etc, but again, with Yorkie blood and being so young I wouldn't expect too much right now. I'm sure others can add more, but keep us posted and definitely post more photos. |
