| Idon't think the kids have totally comprehended yet, but my son in law is devastated. He feels he is to blame since he set the trap. I was over there today, and I saw him outside wiping his eyes...it is just so horrible - Chester was only 4, and he was always outside playing with the kids - he just never stopped - he could take huge leaps, amazing everyone how far! You wonder why these things happen.

| I'm sure he feels terrible. It's just so sad. It will take him a long time to get over it, too. Just keep telling him it was an accident. No one can see into the future and everyone makes mistakes.

| You are so right - but today, here in Canada it is 75 degrees+ and sunny and even I can't not think how Chester would have been....losing an animal is unbelievable hurtful and traumatic - I would still love to hold my Toffee again - take her camping - see her little face......
