To the OP....this must be a terrible pain you are feeling.....I would relieve some of it by talking to your vet, if I were in your place...

Very sorry for your loss. I still remember almost 50 years ago when I lost my first pet. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Old Joe, a Boxer was born the same year I was, and I grew up with him.

I can't imagine coming home to find my baby that way. My heart breaks for you and your family.

I can't imagine what caused this but I would be really interested in knowing. So many things can happen with these little ones - it would be great if you could share that information with the rest of us.

I never knew that Saga Palms could be fatal to dogs until I read about it here. Then I looked it up and sure enough - it is. There are Saga Palms everywhere here - so now I am very careful of what my kids just come close to or even what I plant in my backyard.

How old was your baby? Did she have any other medical problems prior to this?

Again, my heart breaks for you and your family.

I just cannot even imagine this happening and to have my daughter be the one to find one of my pups in this condition

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your entire family at this very difficult time. What a tragic lose that you have been dealt in the passing of your little one.

Please keep up updated if you are able to find any answers to what happened. I have a thousand questions to ask you but this is not the appropriate place for my questions. Take comfort in knowing that you have the YT community to support you at this very sad time.
