| Kona is my hero! My parents were visiting with their 8 year old maltese - Pebbles, and their 14 month old yorkie - Izzy. Izzy was able to escape from our house while my dad was packing up their car . I was outside with Kona (my little 7 year old yorkie) and I started to chase Izzy. My dad (72 years old very bad heart) and I (two very bad knees) went chasing after her. We RAN for 20+ minutes after Izzy afraid if she got into some of the neighbors yards we would have a hard time getting her before she started to get to roads with more traffic. Kona just ran along beside me the whole time. Finally, Kona charged after Izzy got her to change direction and "herded" her to me. When Izzy decided she was caught she crouched down put her ears down and let me pick her up! I don't know who much longer we would have been able to chase her if Kona hadn't decided to help. She is my hero !

| Good Girl She must have been watching some herding shows on TV! Maybe she wants to be an Australian sheep herder when she grows up. Donna

| I'd say she is a hero. I think you ought to write up a whole story and submit it for a prize!

| Thanks for sharing such a great story. Sometimes things really do just happen and the little ones get away from us......it's nice to hear about things turning out well. Best wishes.........

I can't remember the last time I ran! I had my right knee replaced 2 years ago and my left one scoped just 4 weeks ago. I was even surprised I could do it. I was so worried about my dad - I was afraid he would have another heart attack chasing that little thing around. Izzy is never allowed outside withouth her harness and leash, but this time she slipped out the door and she is really FAST!
