My response to all of this is who cares? Let me preface this by explaining to the poster, that I am in no way trying to attack you in any way. My feelings on this whole matter is that the yorkies obviously have a loving parent and I think that this is all that should matter. I tend to feel that so many yt'ers get so fixated on the minutae! I do not care if my dog is AKC registered or not, he is my furbaby and is with a parent that loves him!

Now wait, I dont think that is a fair statement. No one attacked you. They simply tried to explain things. I dont think you should be upset, because like you said, YOU love your dogs no matter what! Everyone on here was asking questions and other people answered them. No one tried to attack you and said you did anything wrong.

When it comes to the breed...the Yorkshire Terrier...there are super technical things that any ethical and reputable breeder will care about. You can not run from them. This site is for people to learn from and for ethical and knowledgeable people of the Yorkshire Terrier breed to inform those who are interested in learning. Stay around long enough and you will learn that questions being asked and comments being made are not meant to hurt you. Most YT's members are here for the betterment of the Yorkshire Terrier breed, but there are sometimes people who join that don't understand what that actually means. Hope to see you around YT!

The original name given by Mr. Biewer the dogs was Biewer Yorkshire a al pom pon. It did not include the word terrier.

I understand your point. The op is the one that made the statement that "her breeder" said the biewer can be AKC. I was just clarifying this for her.

Jackson 25 it's a little late to welcome me after you labeled someone who is dear to me and my dogs and who you have no personal knowledge about or experience with "unethical." I feel anything but welcomed and will be very careful when advising any of my friends to join this site...

Your first post comes on promoting what many see as unethical breeding, just using the word "designer" is going to make many people uneasy. You say you got them when they were 8 weeks old, and we all know that the YTCA, which is the mother club for the Yorkshire Terrier, insists that breeders keep yorkies a MINIMUM of 12 weeks. The YTCA is a collection of Yorkie breeders who have studied what's best for the breed, and breeders who choose to ignore their advice are not what I would call good breeders. You had a whoops pregnancy with your little girl by a closely related male before she reached the age of one. Can you understand why some of us are saying, "Wow"?

I welcomed you in some of my first posts. My feelings toward the breeder you received your dogs from has no reflection as to how my feelings are for you, matter of fact, I feel very sorry for the fact the Terri has not informed you of the right information. Sorry if my posts were harsh sounding to you!

I want to say welcome to the group! I have been on YT for a while and I must say that I apologoze for some of these snobby, judgemental, know it alls who can leave a bitter taste in anyones mouth. I am so sorry that you have been met with these types of comments and disdain. The most important thing is to love and care for your babies! There are a some of us on here who are actually nice and non-judgemental and love ALL dogs regardless of breed, registry, or breed jargon. Therefore, if you would like to join me and Hugo, feel free to add us to your friends list.

I think that the administrators of this website should place another sticky of proper YT ettiquite becuase all this bantering and badgering is unacceptable.

and the fact that her cute babies are not actual Yorkishire Terriers but a Yorkie mixed breed from a breeder that mixes breeds that she claims to be doing it for the better of the breed
