To the OP: Welcome to YT! |
Okay guys here is the very long and confusing story on why they are called designer yorkies (and I meant Paris and Napoleon not Louis:) Louis is an M1 gold gene carrier! His mom was blue and gold and his dad was solid gold. Louis is Napoleon's dad...he is AKC registered. Paris is an F1 biewer gold and white gene carrier. Her dad was a golden/white biewer who was AKC registered. Her mom was a solid gold yorkie who was CKC registered. When duchess had her puppies the AKC would not let them be registered with them because at the time they did not view biewers as full bred yorkies like they do now and also would not let the litter be registered with them because duchess was CKC registered. So they had to be registered with highbred as designer. Napoleon (who is Paris and Louis' baby boy is an F1 gold and white biewer. As you can see by this highly confusing explaination none of my dogs are "designer" or mixed breeds...they are full bred yorkies. Hope that clears up any confusion and I will be editing that in my description! |
Welcome to Yorkie talk!:) I am confused, I was not aware that you could register any biewer AKC. I thought it was Parti's that could be registered with AKC. Am I wrong? |
According to my breeder (the one who gave me Louis and Paris) AKC is now recognizing Biewers...that's all I know... |
Hello, I just want to welcome you and your yorkies to YT! :animal-pa |

And for the person that made the comment about it being good to know my breeder released my yorkies at 8 weeks with full breeding rights...my breeder hand and home raises every single litter of yorkies she has. She has been breeding for 17 years and does it for the love of the breed not the money. Her prices are ridiculously reasonable in comparison to what is being charged online. However she is EXTREMELY picky about her dogs and interviews extensively and has been known to turn down a lot of money if she doesn't feel that whoever is trying to buy a puppy isnt the right owner/home for the dog. She also does not sell to breeders for the most part and interviewed me extensively before releasing Louis to me. Because of the quality of care I gave Louis she was willing to release Paris to me and knew that if I intended on breeding Paris I would be the exact same type of breeder that she is! In my personal opinion Terri is the best breeder hands down because of her absolute love and devotion to the breed and her mission of making sure every single puppy finds a lifetime home! I am proud to have been priviledged enough to have gotten 2 of her gorgeous dogs and because of that have beautiful little Napoleon!! |

I am sure someone can answer this way better then I could I don't know much but I do know Biewers and yorkies are two different breeds? I would say since they are two different breeds Paris IS a mixed dog. Very cute by the way ! I love them all regardless of breed, color, paper or whatever! |

F1. A breeding of a an F1 pup to a biewer would be called F2. I am unfamiliar with the term M1. Biewers are not recognized by AKC. Biewers are a breed which orignated in Germany and the pedigree on both sides will trace back to the original breeding pair Fu Fu and Darling Friedheck. The gold coloring is not the result of a "gene" per se. It is the result of a gene mutation. |
