| You gotta be kidding!! My little(?) puppy, Avery, is ten months old. He probably weighs between 7 and 8 pounds. You won't believe what he's doing!!! He's getting on the kitchen table and walking around every time my back is turned!!! WHAT's the matter with him?? Does he think he's a cat? There's not a thing on it and I keep a very clean table so there's no food. My laptop sits on it sometimes and yesterday while he was up there he chewed up my glasses! I'm just glad it wasn't the computer! What can I do to get him to stop this? He gets on the chairs although they're pushed in all the way. He's very light on his feet and can jump very, very high. I don't know what to do to deter him! |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | i'm sorry but that cat line got me!! now. i'm not so sure how to fix it. my 75 lb choc. lab mix Rusty used to think that the table was a bed!! that was his favorite place to sleep=NOT GOOD. we used a spray bottle. whever we caught him up there we sprayed him with it. eventually he just stopped going up. good luck!

| Oh my gosh. Another Yorkie table walker. It's strange, there was just a thread posted by other members who talked about this very same thing. It seems Avery has found himself a new toy in a way. I am sorry, I don't have any advise to you on how to stop him.

| The first thing I would do is to move everything off the table. Glasses, paper, especially the computer - anything new is fun for them, not just food. Then, you can begin spray water or whatever, Just first save the stuff. I once had a dog who ate shoes. I tried everything, including keeping doors closed so she couldn't get them, but she always seemed to chew up one of a pair. After loosing several pairs of shoes(about 10) I realized I could put them on a shelf up high and she couldnt get them. She eventually quit, but I never lost another shoe.

| Both my dogs do this. The worst part is my daughter will be eating and if she gets up for a minute they are up on the table eating her food. The only thing Ive found to do is spray them with a water bottle and tell them to get down. They know they are not supposed to do it but try everytime.

| LOL, My Danes just look at it on the table and can reach anything they see. I have to watch the counters, stove and my table or put your trash can in the laundry room with a babygate blocking the entry so they dont get into it. Pretty sad when you have to put your food in the oven or microwave to keep them out of it incase you want more later. But I LOVE my Danes. They get it down and Snickers helps them eat it... Good thing they havent tried to get up and lay on it. I catch them all the time on my couches and as soon as they see me they get down real quick and are on their blankets, like what mom what did I do?

| LOL We have the same thing going on here. You can push the chairs in, but it won't stop there. I had to move the chairs away so there's no way they can get up there. I was so afraid one would fall. Yorkies, Gotta Love Them!!!
