| Nail polish Hey everyone. I was wondering how every ones feels about dog nail polish? Not really sure how I feel about it but it seems like a mess to me but then I saw they now have the dog nail polish in the nail polish pens like they make for humans and that seems less messy and easier to do. I was thinking for special events having her nails panted might be cute but I was wondering is it really safe even though its made for dogs and how do yall feel about dogs nails being painted?

| I don't know anything about the safety of the product, but we do use it here. I think it's okay. We've probably done it less than five times, but still kinda cool to do.

| I had thought about ordering some but worried about Gypsy chewing on it. I heard some people buy the dog polish to use on thier own fingernails as it stays on better. Is it safe for them to chew off? I know you can't use human polish or polish remover.

| We dont polish here but just wanted to add a reminder about polish remover. never have that around your pets. there was a thread on here about a Yorkie getting some on its nose and it ate its nose off. so be very very careful. |

| I don't put it on Twinkie myself. Everytime she gets groomed, her nails get painted. It's too cute. |

| Of course, nail polish on a dog! Can you imagine what people say when they see our dogs dressed in little sweaters or t-shirts? Clothes, on a dog? Of course!

| I don't think I would not paint my dogs nails either. I am sure it looks cute and all but I would be afraid if they chewed it off and ate it. Also I have a hard enough time with my own nails, I can't imagine a dogs! ugh!!

Anyway, about nail polish - it would probably be okay. I've known poodles for most of my life that their owners always had polish on them.
