| I need my Fiona right about now! So, I'm at work, having a horrible, horrible day. I am a medical receptionist at the Cancer Center here, well, I am the first face you see when you come into our office, and to be honest with you, I would have NEVER EVER thought I could handle this type of job, but I amaze myself at times! Well, I have another lady that sits up front with me, and she is out sick today, so it's just myself up there. I told my boss I could handle it, and I was doing a great job, or so I thought---apparently one of my patient's said that I was being short, and rude, which I find hard to believe because I'm too nice of a person! So needless to say, someone is sitting up front for me, and I'm in the back now, and crying.... I really wish that Fiona was here at work with me, she would give me lots of kisses and hugs right about now.......sorry had to vent.....

| Hang in there and try not to take any insults personally. These are clearly people who are under tremendous amounts of stress. I am sure Fiona will make you feel better when you get home. |

I'm trying not to, but it's just so petty here with people I work with, so I'm just upset. I'm sure Fiona will make me feel so much better! Thank you!

| I'm really sorry to hear about your horrible day. I had one of those yesterday I find it helpful to try to distract myself and think of something else. Remember, you are making a difference. You know what they say -- sometimes people take out their feelings on the messenger. Everyone reacts to bad news differently, just think about all those people you do help every day. You can do it! good luck! |

| Having supervised a workplace similar to yours, it's very easy to get in the flow of things when you're short staffed. You are doing a great job under the circumstances and you know it because you feel good about what you're getting accomplished today. Sometimes when I'm being efficient, my employees tell me I'm not being sensitive. I think I pride myself on getting the job done in good timing and don't realize how my tone changes when I'm being efficient. So, if you get through the day with a 95% success rate, I think that's fabulous!! Give yourself kudos for being able to handle the situation and just imagine if others in your office were under the same kind of stress you are today. It's not easy working with patients and other staff members. Might I suggest a healthy serving of chocolate?? By the way, I have a cockatiel named Fiona. Love that name!

| I'm sorry someone wasn't nice today. I think Fiona would probably like to have some of your hugs as much as you need some from her. Sometimes people, sick or not, can be very mean. I'm sorry they took it out on you.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sounds like you are doing a great job. You can't make everyone happy all the time. Hope the rest of the day goes by fast and you will be home with Fiona.
