| Barking Our 1-1/2 yr old Yorkie sisters are barking incessantly when they see squirrels or mourning doves. They want out immediately and won't stop barking till we do. They also bark when they see a neighbor out. How on earth can we get them to stop. Pretty soon our neighbors won't be so friendly. Any suggestions will be welcomed. |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | i don't think there is a way to get them to stop but to go around that you would tell them the no bark command sorta like the speak command.... try some pennies in can...shake it when they are barking and tell them no bark...the sound should startle them long enough to say NO BARK...and if they stay quiet give them a treat...and praise praise praise....

| Isabel will bark at a leaf falling off a tree. She will bark at someone who comes in the house, goes outside for a minute and then comes back in. My son can come downstairs and she will bark at him even though she sees him all the time. She barks at anything; sometimes me and the other dogs can't even figure out what it could possibly be. Thank goodness Moses is not a barker - she can get him going, but he will shut up, she will not. Even when I raise my hand and tell her to hush, she will growl under her breath and do those little huffy barks. She won't stop until she has determined she has shown whatever it was that she is boss. I can only imagine how much she barks when we are not home. Good thing we don't have real close neighbors! |
