What rescue organization places unaltered dogs? Sounds like they may be deficient in their screening too.

OMG!! That is awful..you had every right to act like you did. There is no telling what that baby has been through. It's our job, as owners or foster parents, to protect them.
Wouldn't that be such an answer to prayers if it turned out to be Yoshi??

Just thought I should answer so Mary can move on. No, it wasn't Yoshi. Rocco is significantly larger, and his chip did not match Yoshi's. It would have been wonderful for it to have been Yoshi.
And Magicgenie, Rizzo's mom is a FOSTER MOM. Foster mom's take in yorkie's in all conditions, bring them up to par both physically and emotionally (which includes getting them fixed), and then find them a suitable forever home. I'm sorry if this comes off rude, but I find it offensive that people question someone else's act of selflessness and absolute kindness for a pup that no one else wanted.

*sigh* Too bad that wasn't Yoshi. Would've been such a happy ending for both owner/dog. I hope he finds a loving home that he deserves.
