OMG.. Mary, they look just alike! I hope this is Yoshi! :xfingers: |
I would kick her out the house. Abuse to any dog is wrong, but it's even worse when they are so small. Throwing them, kicking them or hitting them could result in broken bones. I truly believe that their bodies are so small and fragile and doing something like that could injure them badly. And on top of it all he is a rescue and I'm sure he has issues no one is even aware of and that's one step forward and 5 steps backwards. Good on you for protecting him the way you did and you have every right to feel the way you do. They can't speak for themselves and they need someone like you looking out for them. |
I haven't read all the replies...but here's my two cents: I think that given the situation, you acted well...I would not have been as contained as you must have been. If someone hurt my babies like that, I would have gone at them with a vengeance. However...did I understand correctly that Rocco isn't fixed? I would suggest that he get fixed asap, simply because that could help the issue. I would absolutely not allow them to ever touch my dogs again - literally throwing a dog?!?!? Who pulls that crap?! I would keep Rocco separated from their shih tzu (sp?), and get all dogs in the household fixed immediately. I would also begin looking for a new roommate, as this situation has "bad ending" all over in my mind... |
oh, and i looked at the pictures....Yoshi does look just like rocco! If they turn out to be one in the same, how amazing would that be?!?! Fingers crossed for all involved!!! |
OH MY! I would tell you if I thought you were clutching at straws but they are STRIKINGLY similar! Wow! Do yourself a favour and find out even if it means you have to travel to another state to do so. Their stories tie up! And as for the aggression, like I said in my previous response...you never know what a little dog like that has faced out ther in the world alone. The worst thing that could happen was that you find out you were wrong - but if you're right just imagine! I dont know Yoshi's story in full but i am holding thumbs for you. |
