She is so cute. God bless you for helping her. She needs love right now. |
She's adorable!! I'll be keeping her in my thoughts today. Give her a little hug for us when she comes home. |
Katie is a cutie. Her little face and body language just tells you how much pain she is in. When Chipper was 13 I noticed he was peeing pink tinged blood but he wasn't acting sick. I took him to the vets and was given an antibiotic. If Chipper wasn't better he would have to have x-rays. We went back for the x-rays and bladder stones were found. He had the surgery that night. The vet removed 7 small stones and also found a slight thickening of the bladder wall and took a biopsy to be sent out just in case something else was going on but he thought everything was fine. Chipper was sent home with pain meds, antibiotic and a new food that he would have to eat for the rest of his life. A few days later, the vet called to tell me that Chipper had bladder cancer. I couldn't believe it. Chipper seemed to be recovery from surgery and was acting his old self again. Although there still was blood in his urine. The vet said that because of the location of the cancer it was inoperable. I'm thinking you're so wrong. The vet said that within 6 weeks I would have decisions to make. Seeing those photos of poor little Katie is like looking at Chipper when I had to make one of the most difficult decisions of my life. One day Chipper was a relatively, happy little boy and the next he was sooo sick. He layed there just like Katie, leaking bloody urine, just staring and watching. How can anybody let their baby suffer like that. Katie is so lucky that she has you to love and take care of her now. I'll be thinking and praying for that little baby girl. |
Aww, Katie is such a little doll :). You did a splendid thing by rescuing this little one. Hope her surgery goes well today. I will keep your little girl in my thought & prayers. :animal-pa |
Awww what a cutie pie!! She's lucky to have you to take care of her! :) I'll be thinking about her today and hope all goes well with the surgery. Hopefully she will be feeling up to playing with Uni soon :D By the way, is there a YTNR in Tallahassee, FL or close by? I signed up and was approved as a foster at 2 different Humane Societies, but haven't been called on yet because I requested only small dogs (just in case because I wouldn't want my little baby Pixel to accidentally get hurt by a bigger dog) and they don't seem to have much need in that area right now. I'd LOVE to sign up and foster a yorkie!! Can you (or anyone) give me info on what I need to do for that? Thanks! |
Such a little sweetheart. One of my babies is called Katie too. Love the Japanese translation. God bless your Katie, hope the surgery is successful. Hugs Shirl x x |

Good luck with Katies surgery today. Please let us know how she is doing when she is done. |
What a little doll. Best wishes for a successful surgery to remove the stones. I am sure she'll burn the excess weight off when she feels better and can be a Yorkie. Thank you for taking care of her and giving her the love she deserves. |
Katie is adorable! Keeping you in my thoughts and praying for a speedy recovery! |
