About the hip surgery, it can be pretty expensive, around $5,000.00 depending where you live.. But I would have an orthopedic vet look at that hip, often they really don't need surgery. |
I have tons of these Foam Ramps in my house. They work great, perfect height for the couch. When it comes to the beds, I push up a rubbermade tub (with a bed pillow on top) up to the bed, then the foam ramp in front. ;) I have covered these ramps in fabric and used T pins under on the bottom to hold the fabric in place. The I use that "foamy looking shelf liners" down the whole ramp, as 'traction control' - hahahahaha |

i like the ramps but will they eat it my fur butts think foam is a new squishy treat and if the fabric cant be sewn on i know they will chew the foam up buit other then that i like it will they collapse if a larger dog stands on them (i have a older Maltese)he weighs 15 pounds |

I got a piece of fabric that is 2 yards big. And if you wrap it up like a present and use the T pins (jabbed into the fabric and into the foam) there is no way to get thru and into the foam core. The first one I got (I have about 6 of them), I was worried one of mine woulf pee on it, so I put a shower curtain liner under the fabric. Works great! No one ever did pee on it though... I will take some pictures tonight so you can get an idea :) |
I've got an un-neutered male beagle (40 lbs) & he doesn't bother my neutered female yorkie (10 lbs). Their both on a diet. When my granddaughter comes over w/her yorkie/beshon (hes been neutered, too). He'll play w/my yorkie & beagle. As far as expense goes, I've opened a savings account "just" for vet bills. Sure helps to take the pressure off. Good Luck |
