by the why when the older woman told me that her and the yorkie did not get along i thought she was silly but sara hates this woman she will not go near her but when i walked in the house she run right up to me and started jumping on my leg the old woman said up until a few months ago she hired a pet sitter to come in and play with her but then it got to expensive(they raised thear prices)

by the way Gatsby is not fixed because they do not believe he will wake up if put under anesthesia im currently looking into a small dog specialist to talk about a neuter (it really upsets me when people think im irresponible its childish i know but it dose )

Does Gatsby have health issues? They can do a blood test to see if he would have trouble with the anisthetic, but a healthy 6 pound yorkie should not have any problems. I know they do not like to do the smaller ones.

Yes, for some reason he cannot metabolize the anesthesia and when he had to have his transfusion they had to restart his heart he is fine now but the vet is very very concerned about putting him under again.

Okay, so all went well the dog got along great and when my boyfriend showed up with ripely(45lbs) Sara went crazy she growled and barked and i was thinking Oh no
but ripely started to belly crawl over to her and just as she got in reaching distance she flopped over on on her back and Sara run around her and barked then got real close to her face and licked her nose Ripley jumped up and waged her tail and they run off t o play so next we will go to our house and see how Sara dose in Ripley home

Misslissa - good luck with Sara and your other pups. I hope it works out for you. Jack is just over 4 pounds and I absolutely love him! We had a 30 pound sheltie previously and had to put him down. I really like the little ones - they don't realize they are so small. LOL

i wanted to let everyone know whats been going on Sara did move in with us and we are doing great (other then haveing panic attacks every time shes under foot)she has moved in and assumed the role of alpha female, this however did not go over well with my chi mix chichi but they figured it out im not sure what they decided but they stopped barking so i think its a good sign the only problem im haveing is she will not sleep in the bed (everyone else dose) she lays on her bed on the floor and cries half the night if i pick her up and put her the bed she tries to jump down and gives me a heart attack (by the way know of a fast cheap place to buy pet steps) but evrey thing seems to be going great and im really happy i made the decision to keep her

i borrowed a camera and all i got was several shots of a blond blur ill keep trying the secound she sees the camera she gets so excited she dances all over the place

Congratulations!! I can't wait until you can post pics (one tip - try waiting until she's asleep, or at least getting very sleepy

).

For steps, Petsmart has some taller one's that are reasonably priced. For sofa height steps check Walmart or Walgreen's. Good luck!!

have your husband make a ramp out of some plywood...you can decorate, paint or sew something to cover the plywood to match your bedroom....and have go from the floor up to the bed....just a suggestion...

Great idea! I switched from stairs to ramps last year because of my oldest's arthritis. Ramps are much easier on their joints.

i seen a member on here some time back with a ramp and love the idea...and thought it was be a lot better for these little fragile joints...lol but never got around to making one...
