This breed is so unpredictable, average canine growth charts just need to ignored when it comes to yorkie growth. I'm with Mary. Throw the charts out. Neither one of mine quit growing until they were about 1 1/2 yrs old! :D Sometimes I think they're still growing. :eek: Either way - I love them SO much - it just doesn't matter.

Welcome to YT:):) As you see no teacups... but I think I do have a coffee urn :D (my big yorkie) soon you will laugh too. Yorkies come in all sizes.

Sunshine's pop was about 3.5lbs and his mom was about 6lbs .
And He is now almost 2 yo and he is a little over 9 pounds , hmmm go figure . I think it is Sue's luck to have big ones her, Shiht zu Ming that she used to have was huge . Sunshine out grew a carrier,bed and a crate .
Between you and me I am glad he is a big boy , very sturdy . But the cute factor of lil ones is right up there too .

Isn't it funny how the rules change from thread to thread.

I've been admonished for correcting people, and in another thread admonisghed for helping people, both threads had the same topic.

For those who are considerate enough to not make fun of me thank you. I am naive to taking care of a yorkie and i dont know the proper term of how to classify my dog.To those who are plain mean, thats ok coz you should know better not to make fun of the newbie. Over all everybody thank you for the warm greetings.

I'm sorry you felt like you were being made fun of. I think there was some inside jokes going on, and they were not trying to direct their laughter at you. Please make yourself welcome here. You will find tons of info on YT! And again, Welcome!!!:D
