| yorkies in Jacksonville NC? I met someone in this forum who is from Wiminlton, which is an hour from Camp Lejeune. However I wonder if there is any yorkies closer to were I live. So far, I lived here for one year, and still haven't see another yorkie besides Trixie. I would love to meet up with other yorkie owners and let our fur babies play sometime. |

| You or your spouse in the Marine Corps? I was stationed out there years ago. Bought my first Car from Moore Buick-Pontiac. Good luck. When we were there, I also never saw a Yorkie, but there were a lot of English Bulldogs! We had a Basset Hound at the time. |

| We also got a real deal form Morre Buick-Pontiac and had nothing but problems with it. Our oldest daughter was born on Base. We lived off base until our number came up for Base Housing. I was an Officer and it was a decent house, walking distance to the water, near the Golf Course, and had Water Roaches bigger than our Yorkie. I do not miss the Humidity in the Summer. My brass used to rust the moment I stepped outside. Happiness was seeing Camp Lejeune in my rear view mirror. |

| Ha you got that right!! Imagine the enlisted housing if you will LOL! The only good thing about that place was our friends, the 15 min drive to the beach, and the Mai Tai!!

You are on target. Friends were the best, and I am still in touch with many of them. Tarawa Terrace was not exactly resort living. I forget the name of the other Enlisted Housing area. When I was there, you could have bought a new home in Jacksonville for around $14,000. There were no good restuarants....but we did head out to Wilmington on the weekends, or to Myrtle Beach. Sneeds Ferry, Swansboro and New Bern! Ring a bell! | |
