| I'm really trying not to panic... I'm trying to stay optimistic, think positively, but things are not looking good... I was super excited, getting everything ready to go get my baby on Saturday, but it seems like mothernature has other plans for me! I am devastated, I cried during the news yesterday, my husband looked at me like I was crazy! Why, please explain why we have to get more snow! I am holding on to hope that the all the meteorologists are wrong, the storm trackers are broken, anything... They are anticipating 12 inches in my area between tonight and Fri and my baby is 2 1/2 hrs away. My husband is not going to agree to us driving on Saturday to go get her if that is the case... And where she is I believe they are anticipating even more snow... It's not even just snow it's a winter storm warning *sigh* please give me words of encouragement!

| I understand how disappointed you must be... Counting the day before picking up your furbaby. But if the weather is bad pushing the trip back one day is really the best thing to do. Better safe than sorry. I really hope for you the weather will be good. |

| OHHHH, we are so sorry for you, this has to be so hard for you, to fianally have your baby ready to come home, and now you can't get to her. But she is inside safe and waiting for you. Stay strong and hopefully that front will move thru and the roads get cleared quickly.... good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! Sharon, Joey and Cabella |

| Trust me I've though of trying to go today, but I have a meeting in the afternoon so I won't be able to get out of work early today. I'm hoping it won't be too bad on the roads come the weekend but the thing is you can only really tell what is going on in your area once I get an hour, 2 hours away who knows what to expect... For instance the snow 2 weeks ago my area did a great job clearing the 27inches we got however 30 minutes away in Philadelphia, it was a disgrace! I guess only time will tell once it starts, I just wish this wasn't the situation. Hopefully if not Saturday, Sunday will be okay, ugh I wish I could just go today!

| Definitely better safe than sorry! Hang in there. I recently had to delay picking up my new guy 10 days because of the weather. It's frustrating, but safer. |

| Ughh...I know this feeling ~ not with the snow storm part, but anticipating the pick-up and then having to wait an extra week. But just think, everything happens for a reason and this could actually be a blessing in disguise. Who knows....but all in all, even if a couple days late, you're still eventually going to be holding your precious little baby in your arms. She already belongs to you and it will all work out just as its supposed too. Congratulations!!

| Awww, I am sure that you are very disappointed if you have to wait to get your baby, but like everyone said, better safe than sorry. Just keep the warm thoughts and all will be worth the wait. I know what you mean about the snow, we're supposed to get it where I am! ughhhh!

| Stay hopeful! I went through the same thing Valentine's weekend when I flew to pick up Cerise. On that Saturday my plane from Austin was delayed three times and in the end I had to be redirected to Dallas, because I had missed the last plane from Houston to Birmingham I flew Austin/Dallas/Birmingham instead and only because I was persistent and luckly there was still one set of flights left to get me there. I spent the whole day in the airport but in the evening despite the weather I got to Birmingham and the next day I met with Chattiesmom and got my baby Cerise If the roads are cleared you should still be able to make it! I wish you the best of luck.

| That is what I went through when I was to go and pick Zach up. We were praying for good weather. It was okay when we started out but had some flurries on the way, luckily it wasn't TOO bad but still I would of been so bummed if we didn't go the day I was expecting. I waited a month to bring him home and it was SO hard! Good luck. Last edited by yorkie_mama22; 02-24-2010 at 08:06 AM. |

| I don't think so, it might be for me but I don't know where once I get there I could get one, but, I will definitely look into it, Thanks for the idea! @joeys mom - Nope it's definitely not looking good, they are already talking around the job about closing the office for this "Snownado" and "Snowrricane" *sigh* they are all making fun, and happy about the possiblity of being home but my heart is heavy. Although it's only until Friday my main concern it after the 12 inches how are the roads going to be for me to drive on Saturday... I'm holding out hope though, esp for Sunday, I looked up the weather for upstate PA and they are only expecting 2-3inches! So maybe there is hope *fingers crossed* Oh, and thanks to you all for asking the snow gods to have mercy on me! lol
