| New to the Group In a few weeks my husband and I will become the parents of not 1 but 2 male Yorkie puppies. We have had 2 Yorkies in the past but they were adults when we got them. Dakota was 6 years old when he came to live with us and he lived until he was 16 1/2. We rescued Riley when he was 9 years old and sadly we lost him just before Christmas at 11 1/2. Right now our household includes two 6 year old Maltese sisters who we also adopted as adults. Needless to say having puppies in the house will be an experience we haven't had in many years. Our breeder is my husband's cousin so we will have someone local to call with questions and I have also been reading articles on the internet and in magazines to prepare for our new family members. I would love to receive advice from members who have experience with multiple breed households and new puppies. Thanks to all who reply. |

| Congratulations on your newcomers! The only advice I can give you is get some sleep now because your puppies are going to require lots of your energy. Please post pictures once you get them. |

| I will post pictures of our new babies when they come home along with their big sisters. Luckly although I work full time, my husband is semi-retired and will have the additional time to spend with the boys. |

| Welcome! I agree with the others to get your sleep now and rest up. There will be more potty trips, more frequent feedings, close monitoring, not forgetting to acknowledge and spent time with your girls as much as possible...the upside....more kisses and love to go around.

| Congratulations! Rest up! What one won't think of, the other one will! I haven't any personal experience, but I have read that siblings will bond with each other before they will you. I don't know if that is true or not. I will certainly be watching to hear of their exploits though.
