I have to sit with him while he eats (wich is fine) so that he doesn't wonder to their food and eat that. Since its different I know he can get sick... should I switch the adults to his food and feed them puppy food for a year? or what should I do...also my adult dogs like to eat the puppy food? my dogs are funny... any advice on what I should do? thanks in advance

| what are you feeding your adult dogs? When my younger one was little, I fed both dogs an all life stages food, so they could both eat the same thing.

| Hot Rod didn't eat his puppy food when he was a baby, but did when we had a 2nd puppy and he was adult. It really will not hurt the puppy to eat adult food, for the most part, but the puppy needs the extra vitamins and fat that are in puppy foods. So having said that, adults should not eat the puppy food because of the vitamins and fats. There are all stage foods that might work for you. They didn't help me mine didn't care for them. One that comes to mind is Canidae. There are several others. Check out the health and diet forum.

| Mine do the same. I supervise my puppies till they are finished eating. I feed them in another room so the adults can't eat the puppy food. Also feed the adults in a different room. I wouldn't advise feeding your adults puppy food for a year.
